Good bye 2016, Hello 2017

Wow what a year! 2016 was a roller coaster year for us! We started the year off looking for a house, finding the perfect one, and moving in by Mid March. We have had fun decorating and making the house our home.
Next we got our precious Shadow puppy in April. He is a bundle of love and fun!

In May I started selling Rodan and Fields. I really love the products and hope that my business takes off soon. My website is lmoore7.myrandf.com.

In August we experienced Tropical Storm Hermine which was nothing compared the what was coming in October. We experienced our first mandatory evacuation in October due to Hurricane Matthew. We evacuated to Sylvester where we worried about the state of our home and our friend's homes. When we returned we were without power for a day but we were very lucky. Only damage our house sustained was a few missing shingles and a large limb fell out of a tree in the front yard. Many houses around our neighborhood were not so lucky.

In November Joe interviewed and got a transfer to the distribution center closer to our home approx. 5 miles down the road instead of the 30 plus mile drive he has now. Just waiting on the higher ups to let him transfer. We also traded our camper for a bigger new one in November. It is our new guest house and will sleep 7 to 8 people! So we are ready for company to come visit!!!

In December Joe turned the big 4-0 and we celebrated with friends at our house karaoke style! It was so fun! I am looking forward to hosting more get togethers in our home.

We were very blessed in 2016 and I hope that 2017 has many more blessings in store!

Home Sweet Home

WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!!!!

It has been a while since I have updated. A lot has happened in that time, some good and some bad. The good is certainly the fact that we found the perfect house in historic Port Wentworth, GA. It is on a corner lot on a quite street. We love it here! The house was built in 1954 and has all kinds of character!! It has beautiful original hardwood floors, a great big window in the living room, and a beautiful fireplace. We are so excited to be living here!

Happy New Year!!!

As we ring in 2015 I wanted to reflect on what an awesome year 2014 turned out to be. Last year was super busy and full of changes, we made the move to Savannah in March which has been a blessing, Joe got a new postition at Target, and got Joe a new car that he loves. My wish for the new year is that we can make healthier choices, start saving money for a down payment on a house, andgo to Japan. My prayer is that our family will continue to be healthy and will grow. Happy 2015 everyone!!!

A lot has happened...

So a lot has happened since my last post. In October of 2013 I applied for a purchasing position at Savannah Technical College. I waited and waited to find out if I would get an interview. I finally interviewed for the job in January and accepted the job in February. Valentines weekend we came to Savannah and found the perfect apartment! Joe was able to transfer to the Target DC working his same job on the same shift that he had in Tifton. So on March 1st we became Chatham County residents. I began my job as Purchasing Services Specialist on March 3rd and Joe started his job at the Midway DC on March 4th. In June, Joe applied and interviewed for a new position at Target in the Maintenance Dept (a desk job). He got the job and started training for it in July. He will be working a new shift but with God's help we will adjust.

God has been so good to us through all these changes. He has answered so many of our prayers! I know we would not be where we are today if not for Him!

We love where we live and our church family at First Baptist Port Wentworth! We have re-connected with old friends and made new ones! We are always on the go finding new places to visit and see. We are only 45 mins from either Tybee Island or Hilton Head beaches!!!

Our fur babies, Buster and Lucy love it here too!

Sometimes we get home sick and miss our families but we cannot help but look at the opportunities that God has given us here as blessings! I cannot wait to see what else God has in store for us here and we're loving every minute.

Oh, and Joe got a new car!

Joe's Glass Insulator Christmas Tree

My wonderful husband has gotten bit by the creative bug... A few months ago he found an old telephone insulator at a thrift store. At first he had the idea of making it into the top of a light house he would construct. That idea never really came to fruition but this past weekend he formed a new idea. We were walking around Hobby Lobby and came upon some battery operated Christmas lights. Joe decided to buy a pack and stuff them in the telephone insulator.

He wanted to add it to Pinterest and thus this blog post was formed :)

These are all the supplies and materials we used to make this light.

First, the lights need to be stuffed into the telephone insulator.

Next, the the battery pack has to be attached to the bottom to hold the lights in.

Finally, the sparkly garland or a wreath goes around the base to hide the battery pack.

Tada, a pretty light!

MR & MRS MOORE

Well we did it! We got married and went on our EPIC Honeymoon.

We had a blast on the cruise and so much fun being little kids at Disney World.

We have been back in the real world for about a month and a half and everything is going swimmingly. We learn new things about each other everyday and are enjoying it.

He is my best friend and I am such a lucky girl!!

Its the final countdown!!

Well the wedding is only 5 days aways and there is still so much left to get done! Took engagement photos today at Possum Poke with our wonderful photographer Kandice Douglas.

Still on tap to get done before Saturday is get all the cupcakes baked, make the cheesecake, finish packing for the cruise, get all the decorations together to take to the church and library, and bake and decorate the cake pops.

I am so excited and a little overwhelmed. Cannot wait for this weekend!
